Have a look at the following quick video, that explains how to use this Scrum template in practice.

2. Scrum in a Nutshell

Scrum is a framework for Agile project management that focuses on delivering value incrementally and adaptively in complex environments. Scrum:

  • Encourages collaboration and transparency
  • Adapts to changing requirements
  • Delivers value incrementally
  • Promotes continuous improvement

Scrum is particularly effective for projects with high uncertainty or evolving requirements, such as software development.

To summarize the Scrum process briefly, it implements an incremental Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle:

  • Plan: The Product Owner prioritizes items in the Product Backlog, and the team selects items to work on during the Sprint.
  • Do: The team collaborates daily during the Sprint to complete tasks and deliver the Increment.
  • Check: At the Sprint Review, the team demonstrates their work and collects feedback.
  • Act: During the Sprint Retrospective, the team identifies ways to enhance their process for the next cycle.

Implementing Scrum effectively goes beyond a simple ticketing system, as it involves clear roles and responsibilities.

To learn Scrum in details, the best is probably to read the Scrum Guide

3. About this Klaro Cards template

This template implements a simple (Product) Backlog, as follows:

Each Klaro Card is a so-called Story, that is an item of work that delivers value to users or customers.

Stories are evaluated along two axes: Business Value and Effort. Our Casino Boards let the team conduct those evaluations easily, on desktop or mobile phone.

On the screenshot below, we use hours on a specic scale, but you can easily adapt it to Story Points along a Fibonacci sequence or any scale of your choice.

If you want to go further, our Mobile App supports team votes for a Planning Poker session where every team member shares his own estimate, and results are consolidated afterwards.

An Effort/Value Matrix board allows visualizing the Backlog to make decisions:

Finally, the Sprint board lets you easily drop stories in a couple of next sprints so as to plan. Story points prevent you from charging sprints beyond the team capacity.
