Notion: An All-in-One Productivity Tool
Notion is an all-in-one productivity tool that combines note-taking, project management, databases, and team collaboration features. Flexible and highly customizable, it allows users to create modular workspaces tailored to various needs.
Conceptual Difference with Klaro Cards
- A Notion workspace is primarily a company wiki, where pages can be linked together and organized in hierarchies. These pages can include data visualizations within the text.
- A Klaro Cards project is primarily a database. Each card is a database record and provides a space for note-taking. Tables are views of the database that each team or individual can configure according to their needs.
What We Like About Notion
Notion is remarkably powerful. We particularly appreciate:
- Its page editor, which is both rich in features and easily accessible
- Its formulas and automations, which allow for significant process digitalization
What We Like Less About Notion
Notion also has some weaknesses in our eyes:
- It exposes too many features, not all of equal importance, which quickly clutters the interface
- Data manipulation (filtering, editing, visualization) does not allow for easy exploration or an effective whiteboard mode
- Its data policy is not suited for companies that wish to maintain control over their trade secrets

Notion supports databases with multiple flexible views. Most fields can be used for filtering, grouping, and sorting:
The views are rich for visualizing information or modifying records one at a time or in spreadsheet mode. However, unlike Klaro Cards, they are less focused on easily categorizing information or discussing it as a team.

Filters in Notion are functional but somewhat less convenient to use than the filter bar in Klaro Cards:
Record Details
The equivalent of a Klaro Card is a Notion database record. All fields are, of course, configurable:
